  • Application Support Engineer (Microsoft Office Vista Windows IS Support Active Directory TCP/IP Banking) required by my banking client in London. You MUST have the following experience:

    - Application support- fault finding and diagnosis for Windows Server/Vista/Office based applications
    - Basic networking protocol knowledge- TCP/IP
    - Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office

    The following would be DESIRABLE:

    - Microsoft SQL Server
    - Linux of UNIX
    - Middleware- WebSense, WebSphere, BizTalk, Cognos
    - Finance experience

    Role: You are going to be joining a team of 8 engineers providing 1st and 2nd line application support to internal users of my banking client in London. You will be supporting applications that sit on Windows Server, SQL Server, Unix, Linux and i-Series, and middleware such as WebSense, WebSphere, BizTalk and Cognos. You will be mentored and introduced to new technologies. This is an excellent opportunity to enter a banking role. You will be:
