  • Business Support - Test Manager / Support specialist required for a leading Asset Manager based in London.

    The Role
    o Test Management, support duties split is around 50:50
    Test Manager:
    o Responsible for the coordination of testing campaigns for a number of applications; SimCorp Dimension, Charles River, TLM Recon.
    o To coordinate with the IT teams, business users and software suppliers to ensure that any patches, new releases and upgrades are thoroughly tested without regression.
    o Ensure that the business users and business support team are suitably trained on new processes and functions delivered with any patches, new releases and upgrades.
    o To regularly coordinate the review and update of test cases and plans with the business and IT teams to ensure test cases are of a high quality and reflect the current business needs
    o To implement and maintain a standardised testing process across a defined list of applications.
    o To regularly evaluate, maintain and improve the testing roles and responsibilities.
    o To implement and maintain an automated testing tool.

    Support:
    o To provide 1st and 2nd level support to the front, middle and back office on a range of applications in an Asset Management organisation.
    o Systems include; Charles River, SimCorp Dimension, SmartStream TLM Recon, SmartStream Corporate Actions, plus any procured applications and internally developed applications.
    o Gain sufficient knowledge of newly any implemented systems to enable provision of effective technical and user support
    o To provide training and coaching on the Main applications
    o To enhance the software systems being used
    o To liaise with users to understand workflows and provide further assistance as necessary
    o To be the interface between the business and the IT teams


    Skills & Experience
    Qualifications:
    Ideally have a computer or finance related degree

    Skills/knowledge:
    o Strong QA and testing industry knowledge
    o Experience of coordinating a team of testers to complete tasks within agreed deadlines.
    o Ability to recognise and escalate problems to management as appropriate.
    o Knowledge of the Asset management business process, for example the trade lifecycle.
    o Understanding of Windows, UNIX, SQL and Oracle
    o Competent in all standard MS applications.
    o Understand financial instruments traded by an Asset Management company (Fixed income, Equities Derivatives).
    o Knowledge of financial tools (Bloomberg, Thomson and FactSet)

    Experience:
    o At least three years' experience working in the banking/Asset Management sector
    o Experience in Test management / Coordinator activities.
    o Experience providing application support to the front, middle and back office applications in the role of system analyst.
    o Experience dealing with the following applications; SimCorp Dimension, Charles River, TLM Recon or SmartStream Corporate Actions is a plus.
