  • Financial Standards Messaging Consultant with experience of some of the following: XML & SWIFT, ISO 20022, FIX, FpML, ISO 15022, or XBRL required for leading investment bank with focus on Commodities. This role may suit someone from the Business with an interest in IT, and able to write ISO & XML message definitions. Role is to standardise message type including those gaps where industry specific message types do not already exist including: Standardized business processes; Standardized business data & Standardized technologies. Specialist Skills - Deep knowledge of one of ISO 20022, FIX, ISO 15022, XBRL and FpML - as an implementer and ideally as an author / contributor; Business Knowledge and Contribution - Understands global financial markets, especially Commodities and OTC Derivatives. The candidate will have come from a previous background of data and process modeling. Broad experience of XML Schema, UML, data modeling, and event driven message based integration is essential.

    The Client provides commercial and investment banking services to large corporations, financial institutions and international counterparties, focused on emerging markets across the world with particular capabilities in illiquid and exotic debt capital markets and commodities. The IT Strategy is to realize this business operating model as a unified IT platform composed of hundreds of applications integrated in terms of business events.
    The Consultant works with the Architects to ensure Standards are planned into the application blueprints, and then to manage the pipeline of adoption based on the schedule in the blueprints.
