  • Infrastructure Engineer required in London for highly successful trading house.

    Previous experience required with the Installation, configuration and maintainance of servers in a primarily Windows 2003 environment
    Administrative tasks in relation to Active Directory and Exchange 2007
    Installation of related products and support tools, third party and custom applications
    Undertake operating system and application patch management
    Perform an architecture and design role from time to time
    Perform intermediate to advanced level Windows systems administration activities
    Undertake preventative monitoring
    Troubleshoot systems, network and application problems
    Use scripting or other programming languages to automate processes and maintain the application environments
    Install, configure and maintain Linux servers
    Perform intermediate to advanced Linux systems administration activities
    Install, configure and maintain the Cisco call manager environment
    Install configure and maintain our internal dealing board systems
    Assist the application support team as required with the deployment and configuration of internal applications
    Read and understand Compliance Manual

    Experience
    Substantial experience in Windows, systems software installation and support in a production environment
    Substantial experience in Linux/Unix systems administration
    Strong experience on administration and support of a Cisco Call Manager environment and Cisco IP phones
    Good experience working on dealing board systems e.g. IPC/Etrali/IPtrade
    Experience with IPtrade dealing boards highly regarded
    BSc in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
    MSCE certification highly regarded
    CCNA certification highly regarded
    Solid understanding of TCP/IP networks
    Scripting in a windows/Unix environment i.e. vbscript/bash/perl
    Exposure to relational databases such as postgres/Microsoft SQL/informix highly regarded
