    My Client is a specialist in engineering worldwide. They are looking for a person to support OBSW development and validation activities on a Central Software project to meet delivery commitments throughout 2012

    Qualifications and/or Skills

    • Engineering Honours Degree in software, computer science or similar
    • Good awareness of real-time embedded software engineering lifecycle process (min 5 years work experience in the On- Board Software engineering domains)
    • Excellent understanding of embedded real-time systems/software engineering
    • Excellent knowledge of RTOS for real-time embedded systems
    • Embedded C
    • Satellite/space, avionics or automotive industry
    • ECSS software engineering standards (Q-80B, E-40)
    • ERC32 processor
    • MIL-STD 1553B and/or Spacewire
    • Data transport protocols (CCSDS)
    • Previous experience working to the Astrium on-board software process
    • Practical experience of the operating systems, in particular UNIX, Windows XP and VMS and the associated script Languages (Shell, Perl, TCL)
