  • Our client is a leading financial institution based in London who are in need of an Java developer with experience in agile methodologies and low latency development.

    The role is to work in Global Markets IT within the eMarkets team to build a green field technology platform for electronic trading. The Senior Developer will be specifically responsible for delivering in house developed Pricing Engine components which will be used to produce an intelligently spread core price based on volatility, correlation, spreading and tiering.

    Main Responsibilities
    Assist with the design and delivery of the Pricing Engine components, Integrate the Pricing Engine within the eMarkets single dealer platform, Integration of real time market data streams to the Pricing Engine, Work with quant developers to implement spreading algorithms within the Pricing Engine, Manage development work in an agile manner taking an active role in scrum, user story creation and iteration planning.

    Essential Skills:
    Java, Continuous Integration (Maven & Hudson / Jenkins), TDD/BDD, Dependency Injection (Guice / Spring), FX business knowledge, FX pricing development, Agile project experience, Low latency development, Enterprise integration architecture, eCommerce systems.

    Desirable Skills:
    Relational databases (one of Oracle, Sybase, MySQL), Java XML, XSD and XML binding technologies, Active MQ / JMS, Solaris, FIX experience, Financial algorithm experience, Cross asset business knowledge
