  • My client is a leading software house who specialise in providing solutions to the Asset Management field are seeking a C# developer to join their development team.

    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    The role requires someone with advanced problem resolution within requirement management and software development. It is therefore essential that individuals have interest and flair within these areas; however, we do also expect individuals to be experts within object orientated software design and programming.

    Reporting to the Head of Development, this role will specifically have responsibility for:

    Design of object oriented software
    Programming in C#, using .NET framework, XML, XSLT, Oracle, SQL Server, Visual Studio and DevExpress
    Assist in solving problems for customers which have been escalated to the Development Support team
    Working with the Product Design team (Business Analysts) in respect of requirement specification
    Working with the Testing team in respect of test specifications.
    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

    ESSENTIAL:

    Working experience within a development role
    Extensive working knowledge of C#, extensive Database knowledge, in particular Oracle and/or SQL Server, good understanding of the Microsoft.Net Framework
    Working knowledge and sutained experience of working with XML
    Extensive knowledge and experience within Object Orientated Architecture
    A logical thinker with excellent problem solving ability
    Strong communication skills - fluent in English language (verbal and written)
    Methodical, hardworking, enthusiastic and able to work well under pressure

    DESIRABLE :

    Understanding of financial theory and concepts
    Working knowledge of UML
    Extreme programming experience
    Microsoft certifications
    Previous experience in development of trade order management systems and/or FIX messaging.
